Pau is located in the south-west of France in the Region Nouvelle-Aquitaine.

Getting around when in Pau
Pau is not a very large city, though it can be practical to travel by public transportation given the hills and distances at times. Luckily, Pau enjoys safe and efficient public transportation with both buses & city bikes.
While there are 2 hotels less than a 5mn walk from our school, some of the other hotels we recommend on the Accommodation page many be easier to access by public transport to and from the conference.
Pau also has a unique element you should try when in town : the funiculaire, which is a cable car that connects the lower area of town (train station, white water stadium…) to the higher ground (Chateau, city center, shops…).

Idelis is the Pau city public transportation network. It is safe, cheap, efficient, clean and reliable.

One journey by bus : 1,20 €
For a card of 10 journeys : 10 € (+ 0,20€ for the cost of the card)
